One killed, two injured in Maryland Parkway accident
A 21-year-old North Las Vegas man died after the car he was riding in hit a light pole in the center median of North Maryland Parkway north of Mesquite Avenue on Friday night.
Las Vegas police reported that the other 21-year-old men in the 1999 Acura Integra, including the driver, suffered serious injuries in the accident, which happened about 9:17 p.m. They also are from North Las Vegas.
All three victims, whose identities were not released, were transported to University Medical Center, where the one passenger died.
It was the 97th traffic-related fatality in the Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction this year.
