Pedestrian critical after being struck by vehicle Saturday night

A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle Saturday night in the southwest valley, according to Las Vegas police.

Witnesses said James Spagnoli Jr., 26, was crossing West Flamingo Road at Riley Street, near South El Capitan Way, about 7 p.m. He was not in a crosswalk.

Spagnoli was hit by Eddie Grace, 33, who was driving a 2006 Ford Freestar eastbound on Flamingo.

Spagnoli was transported to University Medical Center.
