Phoenix-bound plane makes McCarran emergency landing

Authorities say a Phoenix-bound US Airways flight made an emergency landing at McCarran International Airport on Sunday after an engine malfunction.

A US Airways 737 plane from Reno landed safely about 10:30 a.m., an airport spokesman said. The cause of the malfunction is under investigation.

The flight had about 90 people on board. No one was injured.
