Rain forecast for Las Vegas on Monday, Tuesday
May 4, 2013 - 1:58 pm
Light showers are expected in the Las Vegas Valley on Monday and Tuesday as a low pressure system off California’s coast moves east and brings moisture with it, according to the National Weather Service in Las Vegas.
Meteorologist Chris Stumpf said higher elevations such as Mount Charleston and the Sheep Range could be hit with thunderstorms.
The highs for Monday and Tuesday are expected to be in the mid-70s. Although the mornings will bring sunshine, valley residents should expect clouds and drizzles in the afternoons.
Winds will be as high as 30 mph.
No rain is forecast for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, when temperatures will rise into the mid 80s, Stumpf said.
