Water main break causes street closures in North Las Vegas

A water main break Saturday forced the closure of Cheyenne Avenue, between Clayton and Simmons streets in North Las Vegas, as crews tried to repair the ruptured pipe.

It was unclear late Saturday how long Cheyenne, a main east-west thoroughfare in the north valley, would remain closed, authorities said.

Crews from the Nevada Department of Transportation were working to fix the road, according to department's website.
