January 13, 2015 - 10:03 pm
A woman stumbled into a convenience store with gunshot wounds Tuesday night, which led Las Vegas police to another shooting victim in the central valley.
Metro Lt. Mark Reddon said police responded when the injured woman called for help at a convenience store near Vegas Drive and Decatur Boulevard about 8:40 p.m.
The investigation led officers to a house in the 1300 block of Pyramid Drive, near North Rancho and Vegas, where a man was found with gunshot wounds as well.
Reddon said the woman was shot in her stomach, and the man had a grazing wound on the back of his head. Both were sent to University Medical Center in stable condition, Reddon said.
The woman told police that she was with the man at the house when another man busted in and opened fire.
Police do not know what prompted the shooting, and no suspects were identified. The investigation is ongoing.
