September 11, 2014 - 1:21 pm
Las Vegas police looked into the death of a baby in Laughlin on Thursday morning.
Metro was alerted by medical personnel who had responded to a home in the 1700 block of Cal Edison Drive just after midnight, police spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said. The baby wasn’t breathing.
Lokelani Morton-Speer, who was 10 months old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Metro’s abuse and neglect unit responded, but was still waiting for a cause and manner of death from the Clark County coroner’s office before proceeding, officers said.
