Boulware passes test vote for Nevada judgeship

WASHINGTON – Las Vegas federal public defender Richard Boulware on Monday cleared a U.S. Senate test vote to become a U.S. District Judge in Nevada.

The 53-34 vote on a procedural motion cleared the way for a final confirmation vote at noon on Tuesday. Boulware, 45, has served as a federal defender in Nevada and New York since 2003 and also is a past officer of the Las Vegas Chapter of the NAACP.
