Burger meister: Trump likes McDonald’s

CLEVELAND — Donald Trump’s vast wealth would allow a diet of lobsters and steaks on the campaign trail.

The real estate mogul prefers Big Macs, even as he’s running for president on the GOP ticket.

Nevada delegates gained that insight on Thursday, during a lunch event with Trump adviser Tana Goertz.

Asked for insights about Trump that aren’t widely known, she spoke of his love for McDonald’s food.

“I’ve got a great one,” said Goertz, also a former contestant on “The Apprentice.” “A lot of people do not know that Mr. Trump’s favorite food is McDonald’s.”

After a rally or campaign event, Trump will ask his crew to get McDonald’s, she said.

“He loves Big Macs and french fries and Diet Coke,” she said.

On the healthier side, Trump never drinks alcohol, she said. That’s because he lost a brother to alcoholism.

“I like the fact that our next president will not be hung over,” she said. “He will always be clearheaded and levelheaded.”
