Kingman man struck and killed on I-40 identified

The Kingman, Ariz., man struck and killed by a semitrailer Friday on Interstate 40 has been identified by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
He is Marvin Thompson, 53, according to the agency.
Thompson parked his Jeep partially on the freeway about 12 miles east of the California border about 3:15 a.m, Department of Public Safety Sgt. Tim Case said. While standing beside the vehicle, a westbound semitrailer hit Thompson and the Jeep, Case said. Thompson was killed.
The semitrailer rolled over after hitting the Jeep, Case said. The driver and passenger of the rig were treated and released from a nearby hospital.
