A man was struck and killed by a freight train Sunday near Tropicana Avenue and Valley View Boulevard.
Greg Eckert, 32, of Las Vegas, was walking along the tracks about 6:30 p.m. when he was struck and killed, according to officials.
Authorities are investigating why he was on the railroad tracks.
