The Lake Mead Academy boys lost in the Class 2A state semifinals, and the Pahranagat Valley boys and girls fell in the 1A quarterfinals Thursday.

Karley Whipple led the Panthers with 27 points Friday as Pahranagat Valley defeated Eureka 51-42 in the Class 1A girls state semifinals. Round Mountain fell to Wells, which will play the Panthers in the state title game.
Pahranagat Valley roared back behind guards Morgan Harris and Karley Whipple, who helped force a flurry of turnovers that led the Panthers to a 56-47 victory over Round Mountain and the league championship.
McKayla Brown and Tia Sample combined to knock down five 3-pointers, and Round Mountain held on for a 39-35 win over the Muckers in the Class 1A Southern League semifinals at Basic.
Sadie Soderborg scored 17 points, and Lincoln County’s girls basketball team scored a 48-42 home victory over Democracy Prep onFriday night.
