2011 Rebel football schedule has five nonconference foes, two bye weeks

The Mountain West Conference released its football schedule today, and UNLV's season will go into early December for the second year in a row thanks to two bye weeks.

UNLV opens with five nonconference opponents before entering full time into Mountain West play. The Rebels play Mountain West newcomer Boise State at home on Nov. 5, and conclude the season Dec. 3 at Texas Christian in the Horned Frogs' final MWC game before leaving for the Big East Conference.

The byes are Oct. 1 and Oct. 22.

Sept. 10 -- at Washington State

Sept. 17 -- Hawaii

Sept. 24 -- Southern Utah

Oct. 8 -- at UNR

Oct. 15 -- at Wyoming

Oct. 29 -- Colorado State

Nov. 5 -- Boise State

Nov. 12 -- at New Mexico

Nov. 19 -- at Air Force

Nov. 26 -- San Diego State

Dec. 3 -- at Texas Christian
