3 boys missing from North Las Vegas foster home found safe

Three missing North Las Vegas boys were returned unharmed to Child Protective Services 1:30 a.m. Friday.

According to North Las Vegas police, Daniel Valerio-Contreras, 15, Armando Huajardo-Valerio, 12, and Emilio Valerio-Contreras, 8, ran away from their foster home Dec. 28.

The boys’ 53-year-old foster mother told police that the boys were missing from their home near Aviary Way and Deer Springs Way when she awoke Dec. 29. Police said Daniel, the oldest boy, has a history of running away.

The three boys were staying with a biological relative until they were returned to CPS, according to police. The biological family was uncooperative in the search for the boys.
