Aces beat Wrangers for 3-0 game lead in playoffs

Alaska center Josh Soares scored with 4:11 left to play to lift the Aces to a 3-1 victory over the Wranglers on Tuesday night in Game 3 of the National Conference finals in front of a crowd of 3,612 at the Orleans Arena.

The win gives top-seeded Alaska a 3-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Game 4 is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Orleans Arena.

Tyler Mosienko gave Las Vegas a 1-0 lead with 4:12 left in the first period, but Vladimir Novak scored 2:46 into the second period to tie it 1-1 for Alaska.

Cam Keith set up Soares' winning score, dropping a pass for him in the slot. Soares then rifled the puck past Glenn Fisher, who stopped 36 of 38 shots.
