Arizona man dies in rollover accident near Lake Mohave

A Kingman, Ariz., man was killed and another was seriously injured in a rollover accident near Lake Mohave in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area on Thursday.

National Park Service spokesman Andrew Munoz said the accident occurred between 2:30 and 4:30 a.m. off the Katherine Landing access road to the lake.

Tylor Krabbe, 20, and a 19-year-old male whose name was being withheld were leaving the lake when their late-model Nissan left the roadway and rolled down a ravine. Krabbe died of his injuries at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas at 9:36 p.m. Thursday.

Munoz said speed and alcohol are suspected to be factors in the preliminary accident investigation.

"Containers of alcohol were found at the scene," Munoz said. "Accident reconstruction indicates that the vehicle was traveling at over 75 miles per hour in a 45 miles per hour speed zone."

Munoz said there was no initial determination regarding who was driving and that the investigation was continuing.
