Arizona man in custody in shooting death of neighbor

KINGMAN, Ariz.--An argument between two men living on the same property in north Kingman, Ariz., turned deadly Monday.

Mohave County sheriff's office spokeswoman Sandy Edwards said 53-year-old Robert Alber admitted shooting and killing 37-year-old Michael Sessoyeff but claims he did so in self-defense.

Edwards said Alber lived in the primary residence on Bond Street while Sessoyeff occupied a travel trailer. The men argued over whether a gate on the property had been properly secured, police said. The case has been turned over to the county prosecutor who will decide how to proceed.

Alber was arrested and booked on an unrelated trafficking in stolen property charge. Edwards said a search of the property turned up a Taser that had recently been stolen from a Department of Public Safety officer's patrol vehicle.
