Arizona traffic on I-15 shut down due to wildfire

Traffic on Interstate 15 is closed in both directions in northwestern Arizona because of a brush fire, the Arizona Department of Transportation announced late Monday.

That means anyone headed out of Nevada on the route can expect long delays north of Mesquite.

Northbound traffic is shut down starting at Arizona milemarker 8, one mile south of Littlefield, the agency said.

Southbound traffic is shut down starting at milemarker 28, a couple miles south of the Utah stateline.

“There is no estimated time to reopen the highway,” the agency said in a release Monday.
