Blaze tears through home in Henderson, displaces 20 people

A blaze that tore through a Henderson home Saturday evening displaced 20 people, authorities said.

Henderson firefighters responded to a fire call about 4:50 p.m. at a home on Cervino Circle, near Eastern Avenue and Grand Hills Drive.

Those in the home were alerted to the fire by smoke detectors and were able to escape without injury.

The blaze was brought under control in about 20 minutes.

The damage to the home was estimated at $300,000.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.
