Burning car spews heavy smoke at Las Vegas car dealership

A Friday afternoon fire at a car dealership on South Torrey Pines Drive sent Clark County firefighters scrambling to the scene.

At around 4 p.m., fire officials received calls of heavy smoke coming from Findlay Chevrolet at 6800 S. Torrey Pines Drive, near Rainbow Boulevard, and suspected the building was burning.

When firefighters arrived on the scene, they discovered the source of the smoke: a car burning in the bay.

They quickly extinguished the flames.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the car fire.
