Code now bans strippers on wheels

A two-week spectacle in which strippers pole-danced in a rolling plastic box on the Strip prompted Clark County commissioners to tighten a code to prevent the stunt from being repeated.

Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak asked that the code covering mobile advertisements be amended to explicitly forbid live entertainers.

The code now bans signs that "contain moving or flashing lights or animation of any kind."

Bob Proden, operations director for Déjá Vu Las Vegas, said company officials scrapped the shows, which he called a great success, to avoid clashing with the county, which controls their clubs' liquor licenses.

"We didn't mean to offend anybody," Proden said.
