Community dispute? Henderson offering mediation

The city of Henderson is offering a new mediation program to help resolve community disputes.

According to a Henderson news release announcing the program, most community disputes involve nuisance-type complaints that often can be addressed successfully through a mediated conversation.

Guided by the mediator, both parties have an opportunity to express their concerns in a respectful environment.

The mediator does not render any decision or recommend any action; instead, the parties work together to explore options and come to their own agreement.

The Henderson Mediation Program is offered at no cost to Henderson residents and can assist with a variety of disputes, including disputes between neighbors, between landlords and their tenants, between homeowners associations and residents, and between employers and employees.

Mediations are held at one of three Henderson libraries.
