Coroner identifies victim in fatal Sunday shooting

The Clark County coroner’s office identified the North Las Vegas man who died in a Sunday morning shooting near Spring Mountain Road and Decatur Boulevard.

Darren Lawerance, 21, died from gunshot wounds to the chest. He was hit after a shooting broke out as he was leaving a lounge.

Lawerance was with two other people, who also were shot and injured. Lawerance was taken to University Medical Center and died an hour later, according to police.

Police said one of the victims was in critical condition Sunday at UMC. A condition for the second injured victim was not released.
