Nye County Deputy Ian Deutch died after he was shot five times by a man wielding an assault rifle in the parking lot of Terrible's Lakeside Casino & RV Park in Pahrump on April 26. The gunman was shot and died at the scene. The Deputy, who was also Staff Sgt. Ian Michael Deutch, had recently returned home from a tour with the Nevada National Guard in Afghanistan.
