Drug information forums set for Tuesday

Las Vegas police narcotics detectives are to provide the public with information about methamphetamine at various police stations at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The detectives will present an overview of meth, including how it's manufactured, distributed and used, and will share real-life stories about the drug. The detectives will also discuss the impact methamphetamine has on families.

The presentations will mark the local debut of Meth360, a national community outreach program created to teach parents and others how to stop the spread of meth.

The detectives are to speak at the following stations:

Bolden Area Command, 1851 Stella Lake St., south of Lake Mead Boulevard and one block east of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Downtown Area Command, 621 N. 9th St. at Bonanza Road.

Northeast Area Command, 831 N. Mojave Road at Washington Avenue.

Northwest Area Command, 9850 W. Cheyenne Ave., just west of Grand Canyon Drive.

South Central Area Command, 4860 S. Las Vegas Boulevard, between Tropicana Avenue and Sunset Road.

Southeast Area Command, 3675 E. Harmon Ave., between Sandhill and Pecos roads.

Southwest Area Command, 5925 W. Spring Mountain Road, a quarter-mile east of Jones.
