Has it been a year already?

Hard to believe we’re only two weeks away from Trevor Brazile winning another PRCA all-around world championship. That must mean it’s time for the world’s richest rodeo. The Texas roper is going for a record eighth and fifth straight.

The National Finals Rodeo opens its 10-night run Dec. 2 at the Thomas & Mack Center. This will be my 12th consecutive year of reporting on rodeo.

We’ll try to keep you up to date on what’s going on with the Finals before and during the big event. We also welcome any ideas you have.

For the second consecutive year, the rodeo will open the week that NASCAR’s biggest names are in town for the Sprint Cup Champion’s Week.

It’s a busy time of the year, but a great one if you like horses and horsepower.
