Encore for Electric Daisy Carnival
August 19, 2011 - 1:02 am
Organizers of the Electric Daisy Carnival are close to announcing details of a return to Las Vegas, including the likelihood of an earlier date.
Founder Pasquale Rotella promised via his Twitter feed this week that the three-day electronic music marathon would be back after a highly successful debut in late June at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
There have been industry rumblings that Rotella has been looking at dates between late May and mid-June, when temperatures are cooler for the sundown-to-sunrise schedule.
About 230,000 tickets were sold, making it the largest music event in Las Vegas history and one of the premier music festivals in the world.
Las Vegas landed the 14th edition of the sprawling light show after its owners, Insomniac, relocated from Los Angeles amid various issues, including a drug-related death.
