Family services worker charged in child neglect
A case worker for Clark County Family Services was arrested and charged with child neglect Thursday night.
Shajuan Huff-Bush, 24, was being held at the Clark County Detention Center on Friday. Bail was set at $3,000. Her child, a baby girl, was taken into protective custody by Child Protective Services.
Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Bill Cassell confirmed the arrest. The incident report was not available Friday.
Clark County Family Services Spokeswoman Christine Skorupski declined to comment on the arrest since details of abuse and neglect cases are confidential by law. When asked about Huff-Bush's status with the department, Skorupski said that is currently under review.
Huff-Bush's job title is family services specialist. As such, she is responsible for providing oversight and services to children victimized by abuse or neglect.
