Father accused of chaining daughter to bed because of weight

A Las Vegas father remains jailed after his arrest on charges he physically abused his teenage daughter because he felt she was overweight.

Clark County jail records show 53-year-old Robert Blue is due Tuesday in a Las Vegas court on felony child abuse and endangerment and false imprisonment with a deadly weapon charges.

Authorities say Blue was arrested last Wednesday after he was accused of beating his 15-year-old daughter and chaining her to a bed.

An arrest report alleges the girl’s parents put locks on their refrigerator and pantry doors, and Blue chained the girl for two days because he thought she had been sneaking food into her room.
