Favorable contract clause locked down

Jason Alexander has a contract clause that will keep him at Planet Hollywood Resort "as long as people want to see it."

The former "Seinfeld" star opens his Las Vegas show, "The Donny Clay Experience," on Thursday and will share the "Peepshow" theater for four weekends through March 14.

He's saying goodbye to his George Costanza persona and going with Donny Clay, who is billed as "the world's fourth-best motivational speaker."

In an interview Monday with Bart Torres of the Highway Radio Stations, Alexander said, "there is a little bit of a question mark" about the show, "because it's relatively new," but, he added, "if the show is doing well, our contract has a built-in extention. If the folks come out I will hang around for a while."

The show schedule: 7 p.m., Thursday through Sunday, Feb. 11-14, 25-28; March 4-7, and March 11-14.

Monte Carlo headliner Frank Caliendo had a rare Sunday off from his Fox NFL pregame show because CBS had exclusivity rights to the Super Bowl. Caliendo spent the day at his Phoenix-area home where his Super Bowl party with family included cardboard cutouts of his Fox studio pals Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson and Michael Strahan. No, John Madden, one of Caliendo's favorite voices, wasn't among them but that would have been a nice touch because word has it Madden isn't amused by Caliendo's impression of Madden's obsession with Brett Favre. Caliendo is moving to earlier starting times at the Monte Carlo. His Sunday and Monday shows will start at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday starts remain at 9:30 p.m. ...
