Harris leads Palo Verde into state championship game
Palo Verde's Torin Harris scored three touchdowns and passed for another to lead the Panthers to a 42-21 victory over Las Vegas in a Class 4A state semifinal game at Arbor View on Saturday.
Harris had TD runs of 69 and 14 yards. He also returned an interception 30 yards for a TD, and had a 10-yard TD pass to Chaz Thomas.
Harris had two interceptions, and the Panthers picked off Las Vegas quarterback Emir Lopez four times.
Harris finished with 129 yards on 10 carries. Sidney Hodge rushed for 139 yards, including an 80-yard TD run.
