He just keeps trumping himself
Donald Trump is jumping into the superheated Las Vegas restaurant scene.
Trump announced plans Sunday to add a $2.5 billion sister tower that will have an ultra-gourmet restaurant named DJT, his initials.
The first fine-dining restaurant named after Trump will have an award-winning chef, according to Trump associate Jack Wishna.
Trump announced his new 64-story tower during Sunday's episode of "The Apprentice," his hit NBC series.
Trump Las Vegas Tower II will stand northeast of the existing tower.
The towers are a joint venture between Trump and Phil Ruffin, owner of the New Frontier hotel and casino.
REALITY BITES
A new concept at Times Square in New York has Las Vegas ties.
The restaurant duo Kerry Simon and Elizabeth Blau are teaming up with former Las Vegas club owner Jennifer Worthington.
Spotlight Live, which opened last week, combines Simon's food with a reality TV experience. Aspiring entertainers can perform on TV or record their songs in a private recording booth.
Simon and Blau are partners in restaurants in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Worthington, who co-produced "Coyote Ugly" with Jerry Bruckheimer, opened Tangerine and Coyote Ugly in Las Vegas before moving to New York.
