Young competitors in the Mutton Bustin’ rodeo prepare to ride sheep during the annual Helldorado Days festival, which began Thursday night in downtown Las Vegas. Helldorado Days, which started in 1934, runs through Sunday and features professional rodeos and a carnival. Saturday’s two-hour parade, with more than 120 entries, starts at 7 p.m. along downtown’s Fourth Street.
