Husband arrested after wife found dead at Nellis Air Force Base

A 32-year-old man was arrested Friday morning in connection with what appears to be the beating death of his wife, whose body was discovered at a house on Nellis Air Force Base, according to Las Vegas police.

Rickey Massey Jr. was booked on a charge of open murder and is being held at the Clark County Detention Center. Nellis Air Force Base security forces and Metro made the arrest.

Metro’s homicide unit was called to the 4400 block of Kevil Circle at 10:29 a.m., according to a press release. Detectives found the dead woman inside the garage. She had apparently suffered blunt-force trauma, and investigators were informed that Massey had been involved in a domestic dispute.

The Clark County coroner’s office will conduct an autopsy to determine the victim’s cause of death. Her name has not yet been released.
