Identity of traffic fatality released

A Michigan man killed when a taxicab caught fire after a car crash Friday was identified Tuesday.

John Meredith, 62, from Williamston, Mich., died after a car rear-ended the cab near Sahara Avenue on northbound Interstate 15.

Three others, including the driver, were in the cab, and they were taken to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening injuries. None of the people in the cab was wearing seat belts.
