Man running across I-15 struck dead by car

A 22-year-old Wisconsin man died Sunday after being struck by a car while running across Interstate 15, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

The man, identified as Eric R. Nothem, was running east across southbound travel lanes of the highway near Flamingo Road about 3:05 a.m. when he was hit by a Chevrolet sedan.

Nothem, of West Bend, Wis., was taken to University Medical Center, where he died.

Coroner's office IDs man shot dead in NLV

The 19-year-old man shot and killed in a North Las Vegas apartment complex Friday night has been identified by the Clark County coroner's office as Brandon Manor.

North Las Vegas police were called about 9:15 p.m. for reports of shots fired at the Cheyenne Villas apartments at 3260 Fountain Falls Way, near Cheyenne Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard. Manor died at the scene.

Police have not identified a motive or suspect.

Suspicious death probed as homicide

Homicide detectives were summoned Monday to investigate a suspicious death on the California side of Lake Havasu.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Office said a salvage boat operator helping a vessel that had run aground called authorities at 7:48 a.m. when he discovered a body in the water.

Investigators uncovered evidence of possible foul play during a diving operation to retrieve the body. Special equipment was brought to the scene for underwater evidence recovery.
