KEYS FOUND IN VEHICLE
Search suspended for Reno-area woman
A search for a missing Reno-area woman has been suspended near Markleeville after authorities found no trace of her.
Alpine County sheriff's deputies say searchers spent five days looking for 51-year-old Leslie Lee Gray of Sun Valley.
Gray's vehicle was first spotted at a popular Markleeville-area parking spot for hikers in late March.
When it was still there on April 5, deputies found food in coolers and the keys still in the vehicle.
Rescue teams searched area hiking trails and along the East Fork Carson River.
Gray's disappearance is still being investigated with the help of the Washoe County Sheriff's Office.
Friends say they don't know why Gray was in the Sierra Nevada. She reportedly was en route to Texas.
CITY BEAT 10 OTHERS
Bicycling Hall of Fame moving to Davis, Calif.
The bike-happy city of Davis has been named the new home of the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame.
Search committee chairman Bill Brunner said Davis was picked because its 64,000 residents have adopted the bicycle like no other city. It has more than 100 miles of bike paths and lanes and was named the League of American Bicyclists' first "platinum level" bicycle-friendly city.
The hall has been in Somerville, N.J., population 13,000, for two decades.
Dan Kehew, president of the California Bicycle Museum, said Friday that he wants to combine the hall and museum into one facility with hands-on cycling exhibits. City leaders are seeking an appropriate location where star athletes will be inducted each year.
Davis beat 10 other cities that submitted proposals.
