In Case You Missed It: Elk apparently dig trampolines

An Evergreen, Colo., family learned one morning this week that elk apparently like trampolines.

Greg Chase and his wife were just sitting down to enjoy their morning coffee Tuesday when they notice an elk frolicking on their kids’ trampoline.

“Just when you thought you had seen it all … and we see a lot of crazy Elk behavior here in Evergreen, CO,” Chase wrote on his YouTube post. “But this Takes The Cake for sure!

Chase and his wife, obviously awestruck, walked outside and captured on camera the elk prancing around, almost showboating to his friends.

“Definitely looked like there was this dance going on with the elk on the inside and the elk on the outside,” Chase told KDVR in Denver.

But fearing the elk might hurt itself, or maybe just for a better camera angle, Chase moved to help the elk get out.

Instead, the elk realized it had been spotted and exited the enclosure without any problems.

“It looked at me almost saying to itself, ‘Okay, I had my fun. I’m leaving now.’ ”
