Information sought on man found dead in downtown LV

Las Vegas police are seeking the public's help in locating the family or friends of a man found dead in a downtown alley last month.

The body of Eugene Lynch, 56, was found July 8 in the 300 block of South Third Street. Since then, homicide detectives have been unable to find Lynch's residence or next of kin.

The man's death is considered suspicious, but police declined to release additional details.

Lynch's last known address was an apartment at 700 E. Flamingo Road. He is believed to have frequented the downtown area and might have been living in a weekly apartment or motel room in that area.

Police describe Lynch as 5 feet 11 and 160 pounds with green eyes and a grey moustache and hair that used to be brown. He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and maroon cowboy boots.

Call the homicide section at (702) 828-3521 or Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
