Las Vegas police investigate two deaths as suspicious

Las Vegas police have released few details of investigations into two suspicious deaths discovered Sunday.

Officers found a body in a burned-out vehicle about 12:05 p.m. Sunday near Interstate 15 and Sloan Road, Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Barbara Morgan said.

Morgan did not know the sex of the victim.

Police also are investigating the death of a man in a home on the 7900 block of Quail Prairie Street, near Grand Teton Drive and U.S. Highway 95.

Morgan said the man's wife alerted neighbors that her husband was dead about 1:30 p.m. Homicide detectives responded to the scene, and foul play is suspected, but the circumstances of his death were unclear, she said.
