Man shot and killed near downtown Las Vegas identified

A man shot and killed at a home near downtown Wednesday afternoon has been identified by the Clark County coroner as 61-year-old Cresencio Flores-Salas of Las Vegas.

Police were called to 1024 Jessica Ave., near Charleston Boulevard and Maryland Parkway, about 2 p.m. after a neighbor reported a shooting, homicide Sgt. Jon Scott said later that evening.

The neighbor heard two men arguing and "two shots fired," Scott said.

Officers found Flores-Salas dead inside the home.

Police said the two men knew each other.
