Local shopping centers host seasonal events through holidays
This holiday season, General Growth Properties' Las Vegas centers -- the Fashion Show, The Shoppes at The Palazzo, The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, the Meadows Mall and The Boulevard mall -- are ready to deliver holiday cheer and merriment. A list of some of the holiday highlights include:
SANTA BREAKFAST
Santa joins good girls and boys at the Meadows Mall on Saturday, Nov. 19, for a holiday breakfast complete with special giveaways and a parade to the Santa set. The breakfast takes place in the food court at 9 a.m. There will be a small fee for the breakfast. All proceeds will be donated to a local charity.
SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN
Santa Claus is coming to both The Boulevard and the Fashion Show on Friday, Nov. 25, at 10 a.m.
JUMP ON THE JINGLE HOLIDAY EVENT
On Black Friday, Nov. 25, the Fashion Show, the Meadows Mall and The Boulevard will treat early-bird guests to a $10 GGP Shop Etc. Gift Card, while supplies last, when they spend $100 or more in center purchases throughout the morning. Limit one gift card per person.
BELIEVE IN MAGIC HOLIDAY SHOW
From Nov. 25 to Dec. 24, the Fashion Show's "Believe in the Magic" holiday show features a 35-foot Christmas tree, dancers, artificial snow that falls from the ceiling and, of course, Santa. The show is free and unfolds on the runway in The Great Hall (near Nordstrom). Showtimes are noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. every Friday through Sunday, Nov. 2-Dec. 11, and daily from Dec. 16-24. There will be no 6 p.m. show on Dec. 24.
STORY TIME WITH SANTA'S ELVES
Meet Santa's little helpers from 9:30-10 a.m. on Dec. 3, 9 and 10 at the Meadows Mall. Santa's elves will read holiday favorites to eager children. Located at the Santa set.
AUTISTIC CHILDREN VISIT WITH SANTA
On Sunday, Dec. 4, at the Fashion Show and Sunday, Dec. 11, at the Meadows Mall, Santa will make a special appearance before the centers open from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. to accommodate children with autism.
TOYS FOR TOTS
Through Dec. 17, the Meadows Mall will take donations for those in need this holiday season. Gifts can be dropped off at the Santa set.
ST. NICK'S PET PICS
On Mondays, Nov. 28, Dec. 5 and Dec. 12, pets can have their photos taken with Santa from 6-9 p.m. at the Fashion Show and the Meadows Mall and 4-7 p.m. at The Boulevard Mall. Dogs and cats only.
FASHION SHOW SHOP AND SHOW
From Dec. 5-8 and Dec. 12-15, guests shopping Monday through Thursday who spend $500 or more at any combination of Fashion Show retailers can receive two free show tickets to Blue Man Group. Shoppers can visit the Fashion Show concierge to redeem their receipts.
