Man arrested in 2007 death of 7-month-old

A Southern California man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 7-month-old baby north of Lake Havasu City, Ariz. more than two years ago.

Glenn Michael Peralta, 33, of Norco is charged with first-degree murder and child abuse in the October 2007 death of Dakota Harryman.

The baby died of a head injury at Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. Peralta was originally arrested two days after Dakota died but he was released and charges were dismissed when the Mohave County attorney's office concluded there was insufficient evidence for prosecution at the time.

Chief Deputy County Attorney Jace Zack said extensive investigation and the conclusions of forensics pathology led to Peralta's indictment in September.

Peralta was arrested a couple of weeks ago in California and has been returned to Arizona for prosecution. He is being held at the Mohave County jail in Kingman on $500,000 bond.
