Man arrested in death first thought to be accidental

A man was arrested last Friday in connection with the death in November of a woman who was originally thought to have been accidentally shot.

The slaying of Susan Krantz occurred Nov. 18 at her residence at the Jaycee Mobile Home Park, 5805 West Harmon Ave., near Jones Boulevard.

Krantz, 55, was shot in the head and taken to University Medical Center, where she died.

Investigators developed Jeffrey Stein, 64, as a suspect and arrested him on a murder charge.
