Man dies after one-vehicle crash in Las Vegas

One man died after a single-vehicle crash in the west valley Saturday afternoon, according to Las Vegas police.

Evidence at the scene and witness statements gathered by police indicated a 2004 Ford F150 was traveling north on Dean Martin Drive, south of Irvine Avenue, about 3:45 p.m. when the pickup ran off the east side of the road across the sidewalk and lawn, coming to rest against a the wall of a house.

The 51-year-old driver was sent to St. Rose Hospital, where he later died. Police do not know if the driver suffered from a medical condition prior to the crash.

This will not count as a traffic-related fatality until the cause and manner of death is determined by the Clark County coroner’s office, police said.

The coroner’s office will release the man’s identity once his family has been notified.
