Man dies in motorcycle crash

A man died early Monday after his motorcycle crashed on Dean Martin Drive near Tropicana Avenue.

The Clark County coroner’s office identified him as 28-year-old Aaron Lynn Hedger, of Las Vegas.

According to Las Vegas police, Hedger was traveling north on Dean Martin on a 1999 Harley Davidson when he veered onto the east sidewalk and hit a concrete barrier at approximately 1:30 a.m.

He died at the scene.

This was the 113th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas police jurisdiction in 2013. The crash is still under investigation.

Another motorcyclist died at the same intersection last month under similar circumstances.

On Nov. 11, 22-year-old Christopher Lawrence Carle died after he crashed into a barrier near Dean Martin and Tropicana.
