Man surrenders in Las Vegas slaying

Las Vegas police on Monday identified a man who turned himself in in connection with the slaying of a woman found in an apartment on Arville Street near Twain Avenue early Friday morning.

Police said Marshall Green, 31, was booked on no bail into the Clark County Detention Center on Saturday on a charge of murder.

Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased female pending notification of her next of kin.

Police said they received a 911 call early Friday morning from a man who stated his girlfriend would not wake up. Investigators responded to the Silverado Village Apartments, at 3750 S. Arville Street, and discovered the woman lying on the floor.

Green turned himself in the next morning, police said. They didn't specify whether Green was the man who made the 911 call.

Police are seeking help from the public obtaining more information about the slaying, but didn't specify why.

Anyone with information in the case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or the Las Vegas police at 828-3521.
