Motorcyclist killed in collision with police car

A Slayton, Minn., man was killed Monday when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a police patrol car in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

Lake Havasu police said Randy James Wynia, 56, died after he was taken to Havasu Regional Medical Center.

Sgt. Joe Harrold said investigators think Wynia had a medical problem that caused him to lose control of his 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle, which crossed state Route 95 just after 7 p.m. and hit a patrol car driven by officer Greg Painton.

The officer was not injured in the crash. Wynia was not wearing a helmet.
