Motorist dies in accident near Kingman

A Phoenix man was killed in a single-vehicle accident about 25 miles north of Kingman in northwest Arizona early Thursday.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety identified the victim as Javier Reyes-Popoca, 38.

Reyes-Popoca was driving north when he lost control of a 1999 Ford sedan at 12:31 a.m. He was thrown from the vehicle after it traveled into the median before skidding, rolling and coming to rest on its top.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
