‘Narcopigeon’ caught smuggling drugs into Costa Rican prison — VIDEO
A pigeon that was used to smuggle drugs into a prison was captured in one of the patios of the La Reforma Penitentiary on the outskirts of San Jose, Costa Rica.
Guards found 14 grams of cocaine and 14 grams of marijuana in a little bag attached to the bird's chest.
Ronal Sibaja, a bird specialist at Zoo Ave, said that the pigeon cannot be released and will have to remain in captivity.
